Description

The Endowment’s National Clergy Renewal Program seeks to strengthen congregations by providing an opportunity for pastors to spend time away from the daily demands of parish ministry and engage in a period of renewal and reflection. Renewal times are not paid vacations, but times for intentional exploration and reflection. The Endowment plans to choose up to 120 congregations for this year’s program. Each applicant congregation may request up to $45,000 and up to $15,000 of that may be used for congregational activities during a pastor’s absence. To be eligible, ministers must have earned a master of divinity degree. The program is open to congregations in 49 states and the District of Columbia; Indiana has its own separate clergy renewal program.
