DescriptionThe Foundation’s mission is to promote and sustain a strong Jewish community, both locally and worldwide. The Foundation also focuses its grantmaking on securing better futures for vulnerable children and their families by connecting them to opportunities which nurture their educational, social, economic, and physical well being. Grants are awarded in three primary program areas: Jewish community services; families, children, and youth; and building infrastructure in the nonprofit sector. The Foundation awards its grants almost exclusively in the Baltimore metropolitan region although through its Jewish community services grants, the foundation is focused on rescue and relief for unstable Jewish communities throughout the world ands well as support for fragile Jewish families and children living in the Baltimore region.
