DescriptionThe Group’s Global Connections Program, funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, encourages U.S.-based theater organizations and individual artists to apply to one of two initiatives. The initiatives are Global Connections – On the Road and Global Connections – In the Lab. The On the Road initiative will award 12 grants of up to $5,000 each to foster new relationships with international colleagues that will inspire each other’s work and aesthetics by creating opportunities for cultural exchange. The In the Lab initiative will award six grants of $10,000 each to further pre-existing international collaborations by supporting residencies that either advance the development of a piece or explore elements leading up to a full production. On the Road grants are not a prerequisite for In the Lab grants. An online registration and additional information can be found on the Web site.
