DescriptionThe Corporation’s 2006 Learn and Serve America grant competition seeks high quality service-learning projects that engage students in community service projects linked to academic studies. The competition seeks to ensure that more disadvantaged youth are able to engage in service-learning. It’s also interested in expanding the use of service-learning to more schools, colleges, and community organizations. Funding will be divided among school- and community-based higher education and tribal and U.S. Territory programs. Technical assistance on applying for funding will be available to potential grantees through three conference calls. Information is available on the Web site.
