DescriptionThe philanthropic arm of the soft-drink giant targets its funding toward education. It devotes much of its effort to developing partnership in three areas: higher education, classroom teaching and learning, and global education. Of particular interest are programs that provide youth with the educational opportunities and support systems they need to become knowledgeable and productive citizens. The Foundation supports public and private colleges and universities, elementary and secondary schools, teacher training programs, educational programs for minority students, and global education programs. The Foundation’s board of directors reviews funding recommendations in quarterly meetings. An application is available online.
