Description

The Foundation’s grants for public art projects are intended to change the current market-dominated system of art production and move art out of the market and into the public realm. The Foundation’s primary goal is to support projects that move art out of museums, galleries, and alternative spaces, and into daily life. Work should be shown in and around public transportation, city streets, or work spaces and by people outside of the art and academic worlds. Proposals must include the completed application form and a one- or two-page summary of the proposed project. Grants are awarded nationally and internationally to individuals and organizations. Application forms are available online. Established as well as those that are not established artists are eligible.
