Snapdragon Book Foundation

Category

: Literacy

Description

Started in 2008 by a former school librarian, the Foundation seeks to foster children’s literacy by providing grants to school libraries throughout the United States serving disadvantaged youth. The Foundation, realizing that schools are allocating their funds to technology and audiovisual equipment, hopes to make sure that school libraries can offer children good books to read. K-12 private, public, and charter schools are eligible to apply. An application and guidelines are available on the Web site.
