Hanna Andersson Children’s Foundation

Description

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the children’s clothing retailer. It supports programs that create sustainable improvements in the lives of vulnerable children in communities where Hanna Andersson and its vendors live and work. Priorities include promoting children’s participation and empowerment; building healthy lives for children; and supporting nonprofit coalitions and public policy efforts that support children. Of particular interest are children ages 0 to 10 who are at-risk due to poverty, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, homelessness, exposure to substance abuse, physical disabilities, or mental health issues. Letters of inquiry are due on the listed date; full proposals are by invitation. Organizations in Santa Clara, CA; Denver, CO; Michigan City, IN; Louisville, KY; Kittery, ME; Minneapolis and Bloomington, MN; White Plains, NY; Portland and Lake Oswego, OR; Seattle and Woodinville, WA; and the cities of Lima and Cajamarca in Peru are eligible.
