Description

The USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture announces its Higher Education Challenge Grants program: Agriculture Sciences Education. Funds from the program are targeted toward increasing the number and diversity of students who will pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree in food and agricultural sciences. Also eligible for funding are projects that enhance the quality of higher education instruction to help meet current and future national food and agricultural sciences workplace needs. The projects must address one of NIFA’s five priority areas: sustainable energy, childhood obesity, food safety, food security and hunger, and climate change. Much more information can be found on the Web site.
