Category: Arts & Culture
DescriptionThe Foundation’s Thriving Cultures program seeks to foster just and sustainable communities throughout the United States. Letters of inquiry are accepted in three lines of work: Teens’ Artistic Advancement; Artists Engaging in Social Change; and Community Driven Design. Under Teens’ Artistic Advancement, the Foundation is dedicated to providing opportunities for the artistic advancement of teens. The Foundation aims to stimulate fresh thinking and new approaches to address the isolation and lack of opportunities for artistic advancement for young people from disadvantaged communities. Artists Engaging in Social Change grants aim to strengthen the capacity of artists and cultural organizations to effectively engage in social change and to support and heighten awareness of the diverse roles artists can play in social change efforts. Community Driven Design grants assist community and cultural leaders, architects, landscape architects, urban planners, and others to collaboratively design vibrant public places. Additional information on each of the grant programs is available on the Web site. This program does not support capital expenditures.
