DescriptionThrough its corporation contributions program, the Company supports nonprofits in local Walgreens communities throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Organizations seeking funding should have a specific focus on improving access to health and wellness in their community; pharmacy education programs and mentoring initiatives; civic and community outreach; or emergency and disaster relief. Health is the Company’s major focus area and the largest share of its annual contributions program is allocated to programs that address the health needs of their clients. The Company selects national nonprofits that focus on medical research, treatment, and service for diseases such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, etc. For grant request, eligible nonprofits must apply online. Telephone inquires and faxed requests are not accepted. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
