Description

The Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, supports research, education, benevolence, and the equine community. Priority is given to applications judged to have the greatest potential impact on the health and welfare of the horse on a national and international scope, or where emergency funding is needed. (Funding requests for emergency or equine disaster relief support may be submitted at any time.) The Foundation gives preference to requests that have the most impact on a national and/or international level. The Foundation does not award funds to facilities that care for unwanted or retirement horses. It also does not award funds for individual equine research projects. Completed applications must be received by May 1; applications may be submitted from Feb. 1 to May 1. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
