New York Community Trust

Description

The Trust helps meet the changing needs of children, youth, and families; aid in community development; improve the environment; promote health; assist people with special needs; and support education, arts, and human justice. It’s Social Work Education, Research, and Practice grant program is designed to build an evidence base for social work intervention; introduce innovations in the classroom and the field and connect training and research to communities; make macro practice a priority and improve training in policy, management, and leadership; and support research that helps social workers improve practice and addresses larger social issues. Academic institutions in New York City and nationwide and nonprofits working with such institutions are encouraged to apply. In addition to the new social work grants, the Trust will continue to make grants to New York City nonprofits for projects that help poor families become more self-sufficient and preserve the safety net of the most vulnerable children.
