Description

The Company’s Corporate Contributions program seeks to improve the quality of life for the people who live and work in the power generating Company’s service territory of northern Illinois and southeastern Pennsylvania. The Company invests in organizations in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Texas, New Jersey, Maryland, and Massachusetts that demonstrate a proven track record in addressing key community needs in its areas of giving: education, environment, arts and culture, and neighborhood development. Education grants support programs that encourage students to stay in school and develop their full potential; promote math and science; improve workforce skills; and encourage personal development through scholarships, mentoring, and internships. Environment grants support programs that improve the quality of the environment; promote environmental education, conservation, and preservation; develop cleaner sources of energy; protect endangered species; and beautify neighborhoods. Arts and culture grants support cultural institutions with broad public exposure and programs designed to make arts and culture more accessible to a wider audience. Neighborhood development support is usually disbursed through United Way campaigns. All applications must be submitted online. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
