Description

The Fund is committed to enhancing the quality of life and future opportunities for rural residents and their communities. It was created to extend the Company’s commitment to the agriculture community. Grants are awarded to programs and projects in four major areas: education, environment, technology, and quality of life. Education grants focus on educating young, beginning, or future farmers. Environment grants focus on maintaining or improving the quality of the rural environment. Technology grants are awarded to support the advancement and utilization of technology for the benefit of farmers and rural communities. Quality of life grants support programs or initiatives that enhance the quality of life for farmers and rural communities. The Fund supports nonprofits in the service area where AgStar has a significant business presence: Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. The Fund supports direct delivery of services.
