Frank And Lydia Bergen Foundation

Category

: Music

Description

The Foundation’s mission is to perpetuate the Bergen’s daughter, Charlotte’s, love of classical music and support of musical education. Charlotte was a cellist who presented and conducted over 50 concerts of traditional music in Carnegie Hall. Grants are considered for programs that arrange for musical entertainment, concerts, and recitals appropriate for the education and instruction of the public in the musical arts. Priority is given to traditional classical music programs. Also of interest are programs that aid organizations in their efforts to present fine music to the public, provided that such organizations are operated exclusively for educational purposes. The Foundation also awards grants to aid worthy students of music to secure complete and adequate musical education. Wells Fargo Bank administers the Foundation. Some additional information including an application form can be found on the Web site.
