The Conservation Alliance

DescriptionThe Alliance is a group of outdoor businesses such as REI, Patagonia, The North Face, and Kelty that support efforts to protect specific wild places for their habitat and recreational values. Funded programs should focus primarily on direct action to protect specific threatened wild places and waterways. The campaign should engage grassroots citizen action in support of the conservation effort. The Alliance is not looking for mainstream education or scientific research projects, but for active campaigns. All projects should be quantifiable with specific goals, objectives, and action plans, and should include a clear measure for evaluating success. Before applying for funding, an organization must first be nominated by one of the Alliance’s member companies.
