Description

The Foundation is the philanthropic vehicle of one of the owners of Koch Industries. It focuses on a select number of programs that support social progress, well being, and long-term prosperity. The Foundation primarily supports research and education programs that analyze the impact of free societies, with a special emphasis on how they advance the well-being of mankind. Grants support research and education programs at nearly 150 colleges and universities throughout the U.S. It has provided seed money to the Bill of Rights Institute, which help young people understand the nation’s founding principles. It supports a summer fellow program with the Institute for Humane Studies. Organizations and programs of interest should advance social progress through the development, application, and dissemination of the Science of Liberty, a philosophy developed by Koch that believes societies with greater economic freedom have more prosperity and an enhanced quality of life. The Foundation requests letters of inquiry. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
