Canadian Women’s Foundation
Category: Women
DescriptionThe Foundation’s is the country’s only national public foundation designed to raise grant funds to meet the needs of women and girls. The Foundation supports women’s organizations across Canada that are using the most effective approaches to ending violence against women, moving low-income women out of poverty, and building strong, resilient girls. Priority is given to projects and programs that work with women and girls who meet multiple challenges. A panel of experts and community leaders across Canada selects the programs. Those programs and initiatives promise the greatest long-term impacts on the status of women and girls. Topics of interest include violence prevention, economic development, and programs for girls ages 9 to 13 that build self-esteem, critical thinking, and leadership skills. The deadline is for girls’ grants. Visit the Web site for more information.
