Description

The Foundation has launched a program called Philanthropy Film Awards, a new competition for short documentary films featuring philanthropy in the North Louisiana region. The program’s goal is to leverage the creativity of film industry professionals to document the importance of philanthropy in the region. Films must be documentary shorts, defined as nonfiction films lasting 40 minutes or less. Entries will be accepted from filmmakers anywhere in the United States, but the film’s subject must be philanthrophy in North Louisiana. The top three entries will be screened at the Robinson Film Center in Shreveport, La., in April 2012. One film will be selected to win a $5,000 prize. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
