DescriptionThe Foundation supports medical research in the control and treatment of pain, as well as efforts directed at enhancing individual choice in medical treatment and dying. The Foundation is also interested in projects relating to the issues of bioethics, palliative care, medical research, and education. Selection criteria include evidence of strong and visionary leadership; interest in building connections and creative partnerships; development of new initiatives that are replicable and sustainable; and the creation of new ways to address existing critical issues. Other criteria include the desire to improve and enrich the lives of individuals and original, unusual, dynamic, and focused proposals. The Foundation has three deadline dates: March 15, July 15, and November 15. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
