DescriptionThe Foundation supports organizations dedicated to preserving and improving the environment, the advancement of medical science, and other important social needs. Environmental grants emphasize fisheries, forestry, and the sustainable use of natural resources in Western North America. Scientific and medical organizations that the Foundation supports focus on the endocrine system and, in particular, diabetes and its complications. The Foundation requests that applicants send a letter of inquiry, which is accepted throughout the year. Organizations in Alaska, Northern California, Oregon, and Washington are eligible to apply.
