DescriptionThe Foundation’s mission is to advance active participation in music making across the lifespan. It does this by supporting scientific research, philanthropic giving, and public service programs from the international music products industry. The Foundation’s WannaPlay Fund Initiative provides musical instruments to students with a demonstrated need and the school and organizations that serve them. Eligible organizations include public schools serving low-income students; community organizations serving low-income students and students with special needs; and schools and community programs that have made a commitment to hiring and retaining high-quality music teachers and providing standards-based, sequential learning in music. Online grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
