The Jm Foundation
Category: Business & Finance
DescriptionJeremiah Milbank, an ardent believer in individual liberty, limited government, and free markets founded the Foundation in 1924. Milbank also created the foundation to help integrate people with disabilities into all aspects of American life. The Foundation supports activities that foster self-sufficiency, personal responsibility, and private initiative. The Foundation’s current grantmaking priorities are: supporting education and research that fosters market-based policy solutions, especially at state think tanks; developing state and national organizations that promote free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and private initiative; and identifying and educating young leaders. The Foundation does not have a formal application and asks that letters of inquiry be submitted by regular mail. The board of directors meets bi-annually, usually in May and October.
