Regina Bauer Frankenberg Foundation

Category

: Animals & Wildlife

Description

The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on animal welfare. Of particular interest are efforts to protect endangered and threatened species by supporting conservation and research and the reduction of homelessness, mistreatment, and euthanasia of companion animals. Programs that support adoption, training, spay/neuter are of particular interest. The Foundation’s geographic focus is two-fold: for wild animals, it’s national including U.S. organizations with international programs. For companion animals, the Foundation targets its grantmaking to New York City and neighboring counties. Organizations receiving support must not engage in or supply animals for vivisection. JPMorgan Chase is the Foundation’s sole trustee and applications must be made through them. The Foundation provides project, capital, and capacity building support.
