Catholic Campaign For Human Development

Category

: Homelessness & Poverty

Description

The Campaign, a philanthropic arm of the United States Council of Catholic Bishops, addresses the root causes of poverty in the United States through the support of community-controlled, self-help organizations and through transformative education. The Campaigns community organizing grants focus on supporting low-income led community organizations that bring individuals together and train them to identify and challenge policies and structures in their communities that perpetuate the cycle of poverty. The activity for which funding is requested must conform to the moral and social teachings of the Catholic Church. Check the Web site for additional information.
