Bikes Belong Coalition

DescriptionThe Organization’s mission is to put more people on bicycles more often. It works with the federal government to maximize federal funding for bicycling. The Organization also awards grants to help create more and better places to ride; sponsors programs to help cities and towns become more bicycle-friendly; promotes bicycling to get more people riding; and cultivates cooperation throughout the bicycling industry. Grants have been used to support bike paths and rail trails, mountain bike trails, bike parks, BMX facilities, and large-scale bicycle advocacy initiatives. The grants program funds projects in the areas of facilities and advocacy. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
