National Alliance For Accessible Golf
Category: Disabilities
DescriptionThrough a grant from the United States Golf Association, the Alliance is expanding its efforts to provide financial assistance and resources to help make golf more accessible to people with disabilities. Grants are awarded to organizations providing golf programs for individuals with disabilities. Applicants should allow participants with disabilities and those without disabilities to learn and play golf side by side. Programs should offer affordable and accessible opportunities for participants to experience golf both during scheduled programming and after programming is concluded. The Alliance will accept applications on a rolling basis in 2010; there will not be a specific application deadline. Grant awards rarely exceed $20,000 and typically comprise less than 30 percent of a program’s cash operating costs. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
