John M. Lloyd Foundation
Category: Health
DescriptionThe Foundation is committed to identifying, understanding, and impacting the root causes of the worldwide HIV/AIDS crisis. The Foundation believes that lack of access to accurate information about both HIV and the people affected by the disease presents a major barrier to treatment and prevention. So the Foundation funds programs that promote education, awareness, and compassion about HIV/AIDS. Of particular interest are novel, entrepreneurial ideas that have a high likelihood of affecting social change, ones that have promise of making significant contributions, and those that are new and demonstrational. The Foundation funds locally focused programs in California, U.S.-based projects with a national or global scope, and international projects. The deadline is for concept letters that should be no longer than 4 pages.
