Description

The mission of the Company’s Community Relations program is to use its resources and talents to improve the lives of individuals and build strong communities. The Company believes that its community involvement enables it to actively live its values and communicate the spirit of its brand. Grantmaking is focused on three areas: meeting basic needs, supporting community vitality, and volunteer-driven causes. Meeting basic needs grants support programs dealing with food, shelter, and self-sufficiency. Under the community vitality grants, the Company supports programs and services that build strong communities through the following activities: community development, cultural enrichment, civic leadership, disaster response and recovery, and environmental awareness. Grants for volunteer-driven causes are awarded to organizations where employees/advisors/retirees volunteer. Proposals for the volunteer-driven grants are evaluated based on the merit of the request and the level of Company volunteer involvement. Applications are only accepted online. Applicants are asked not to submit applications more than six weeks in advance of the deadline. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
