DescriptionThe Foundation supports Florida nonprofits that focus on environmental issues. Preference is given to organizations that are located in Florida for projects that primarily benefit the state and its inhabitants. National or regional organizations seeking to establish programs or primary benefit to Florida will also be considered. Topics of interest include: conservation of land and wildlife resources; energy conservation and renewable resource development; environmental health; preservation of biological diversity; pollution prevention and toxic use reduction; protection of coastal and fresh water ecosystems; and sustainable development. Grants are often awarded in partial support of a project. Concept papers may be submitted at any time. The deadline is for proposals. The Foundation maintains two mailing addresses and correspondence should be addressed to the appropriate addresses. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
