Category: Health
DescriptionThe Foundation promotes public awareness of healthcare issues, public education of medical knowledge, and contributes to charitable and qualified exempt organizations consistent with its charitable purpose. The Foundation’s newest program is the Connections for Cardiovascular Health. The Foundation will award grants of $150,000 or over to U.S.-based nonprofits that improve cardiovascular health. Organizations should help to address patient cardiovascular health issues; recognize and work to address an unmet need related to cardiovascular health in the community; respond to the urgency around addressing cardiovascular health issues including cardiovascular disease or conditions contributing to it; and improve the quality of patients’ and caregivers’ lives in connection with the services provided and the work done. Grants will be provided to initiatives that are focused on measurable results. Organizations must be able to demonstrate sustainability of the initiative after the Foundation funds are expended and must be able to demonstrate ongoing activity in helping to improve cardiovascular health. Additional details about the program can be found on the Web site.
