Description

The Foundation seeks to enrich the life of the Catholic Church in the Untied States and Canada and to support the Church’s outreach to the marginalized and disadvantaged. Grantmaking is focused on three areas: renewal of the pastoral life of the Catholic Church; social service and outreach to disadvantaged families and communities; Catholic education and faith formation. Church renewal grants support laity spirituality, high quality religious and lay leadership, Hispanic ministry, vital parish life, and pastoral research, planning, and consultation. Social service and outreach grants provide direct services to those in need and strengthen family life within disadvantaged populations. Education and formation grants promote quality religious education, create access to Catholic education, strengthen the religious identity of Catholic institutions, and encourage effective Catholic campus ministry. Special initiatives grants focus on projects enhancing the quality of preaching, and those that improve and expand ministries to those who are incarcerated as well as restorative justice ministries. The Foundation does not consider proposals from individual parishes or schools, retreat houses, or programs that serve the ongoing functioning of individual colleges, universities, or seminaries. Additional information is available on the Web site.
