Description

The Organization’s North American Wetlands Conservation Act standard grants program supports public-private partnerships carrying out projects that involve long-term protection, restoration, and/or enhancement of wetlands and associated uplands habitats. The standard grants program is a competitive, matching grants program that supports public-private partnerships carrying out projects in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The projects must involve long-term protection, restoration, and/or enhancement of wetlands and associated uplands habitats. In Mexico, projects may also include technical training, environmental education and outreach, organizational infrastructure development, and sustainable-use studies. The deadline is for the United States standard grants. The deadline for the Canadian standard grants is Jan. 5, 2011; for Mexico, the deadline is June 2, 2010.
