Description

The Foundation is a national charitable organization dedicated to safeguarding the intrinsic constitutional rights afforded to all Americans by the civil justice system. This preservation of justice is achieved by strengthening the alliance between trial attorneys and consumer advocacy organizations and by promoting public awareness and education. It is committed to preventing consumer injury and defending consumer access to justice through grants to progressive grassroots organizations seeking systemic change. Grantmaking is targeted toward programs and projects in vehicle and highway safety, child safety, environmental protection issues, workplace health and safety, health care and insurance, gun violence prevention, consumer advocacy, and education. The Foundation does not provide grants to support direct social, medical, or legal services; the writing or production of books, or litigation. Grant seekers are asked to contact the Foundation office for a copy of the updated grant guidelines. Additional information is available on the Web site.
