DescriptionThe Foundation sponsors research and education leading to real-world improvements in traffic safety. Topics of interest include teen driver safety; aging and mobility; child passenger safety; impaired driving; truck safety; and distracted driving. Proposals to evaluate existing traffic safety initiatives are preferred over ones to test abstract research hypotheses. No funding is available for community action initiatives or other purely local traffic safety programs. The deadline is for pre-proposals.
