Description

The Foundation’s mission is to create opportunity with, and provide education for, young people. Its grantmaking is focused on two areas: adolescent emotional health and wellness and career transitions for youth and young adults as well as the environment. Environmental grants focus on market-based mechanisms and urban ecology and ecological design. Priority is given to initiatives that are managed by organizations with demonstrated effectiveness, are innovative, seek to address fundamental issues within their areas of concern, and foster networking and interaction among those with common concerns and interests. Based in Calgary, Alberta, the Foundation only awards grants to Canadian registered charities. Of particular interest are those located in the Western provinces. Applicants with regional projects are encouraged to contact the Foundation by phone prior to submitting a letter of inquiry. Additional information is available on the Web site.
