Description

The Fund, created by the Worlds of Discovery, a partnership of Sea World, Busch Gardens, and Discovery Cove, supports wildlife conservation, research, and education around the world. Aiming for long-term success in conservation projects, the Fund supports projects that are science-based, solution-driven, and community-oriented. Grants are awarded in four categories: species research, animal rescue and rehabilitation, habitat protection, and conservation education. The Fund also offers animal crisis grants, National Geographic Society Co-Grants, and Environmental Excellence Awards. The Fund accepts applications from U.S. nonprofits as well as non-U.S.-based nonprofits, government entities, accredited universities and research centers, and AZA (American Zoological Association) or AMMPA (Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums) accredited institutions. To receive support, projects must have broad community/constituency support and be based on legitimate scientific and conservation principles. Additional information including the online application, can be found on the Web site.
