DescriptionThe Fund seeks to assist organizations in initiating or implementing projects in rural areas to undertake consensus-based activities in environmental stewardship or dispute resolution. Of particular interest are projects that utilize a consensus-based approach to environmental decision-making. The approach should include a collaborative process, involving a neutral facilitator where appropriate, that tries to involve all key stakeholders and local citizens in developing environmental programs and policies that satisfy common interests. The Fund will not award funds for capital expenses, general operating support, or ongoing program support. Letters of intent are unnecessary. Proposals should be no longer than five pages. Electronic proposals are not accepted. Guidelines and application cover sheet are available on the Web site.
