DescriptionThe Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Intero Real Estate, seeks to create community awareness by demonstrating good corporate citizenship. Its mission is to positively impact the growth and well-being of children through supporting organizations focused on assisting children (birth through age 17), their education, and personal development. Funding priorities focus on working with disadvantaged children through education, development, counseling, and mentoring for at-risk youth; providing food, shelter, and counseling for impoverished children; and education/training and care for children with life-altering disabilities. Funding is typically earmarked for smaller organizations where a Foundation donation can have a significant impact. A committee reviews all applications and then makes recommendations to the Foundation’s board. Organizations located in California are eligible to apply.
