Stage Directors And Choreographers Foundation

Category

: Arts & Culture

Description

The Foundation’s Guest Artist Initiative provides grants to American colleges and universities to encourage them to hire professional stage directors and choreographers as guest artists. The Initiative will provide a selected school with funds up to $5,000 to match the fee budgeted for the guest artist. A second grant of $1,000 will be awarded to the runner-up applicant school. The Foundation will also provide assistance by soliciting applications from professional stage directors and choreographers who wish to be considered for the project. Only full SDC members in good standing will be considered for the guest artist position. The hiring decision is in the hands of the school. The project must be produced by a regionally or nationally accredited American college or university located in the United States, be mounted by May 31, 2011, and be fully funded. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
