Third Wave Foundation
Category: Women
DescriptionThird Wave is a feminist, activist Foundation that works nationally to support young women and transgender youth ages 15 to 30. Through strategic grantmaking, leadership development, and philanthropic advocacy, the Foundation supports groups and individuals working toward gender, racial, economic, and social justice. The Foundation funds organizations across the nation in two areas: the Organizing and Advocacy Fund and the Reproductive Health and Justice Initiative. Projects that benefit, target, are devised by, and led by young women and transgender activists are a priority. The Foundation also is interested in programs or organizations that focus on the needs of low-income communities, people with disabilities, immigrants, lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender communities, and people of color. The deadline is for the Initiative. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
