Description

Projects and programs that promote the understanding and enjoyment of European art and architecture from antiquity to the 19th century, especially in relation to its historical context are the Foundation’s grantmaking priorities. The Foundation nurtures excellence in study, conservation, and preservation. Grants support two areas: essential resources and sharing of expertise. Essential resource funds support gathering and dissemination of accurate information through catalogs, databases, journals, photographic archives, and publications. Sharing of expertise monies encourage the direct exchange of research and experience through conferences, symposia, and other professional meetings.
