DescriptionThe Foundation’s mission is to support and promote community groups and efforts that help better the lives of animal companions, while strengthening the relationships between people and their pets. The Foundation’s grantmaking is focused on the 4Rs: Reduce, Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Rejoice. Reduce grants are awarded for spay/neuter programs. Rescue grants emphasize adoption initiatives. Rehabilitation grants support proper training programs to preserve the human/animal bond. Groups that offer behavior counseling and training are of particular interest. Rejoice grants support animal assisted therapy groups that offer services to convalescent homes, homes for abused children, assisted living centers, retirement homes, and more.
