Drug Policy Alliance
Category: Public Policy
DescriptionThe Alliance’s Rapid Response/Special Opportunities grants support projects that respond or take advantage of strategic public education and campaigns to block drug war initiatives or advance drug policy reform. These grants do not support the production of videos, films, writing and publication of books, or capital expenditures. The Rapid Response program is specifically meant for project, rather than general operating support. Projects should focus on one or more of the following activities: public education to raise awareness about the negative consequences of local, state, and national drug policies; public education and advocacy around pressing issues; and polling leading to a larger community education and organizing strategy. Send a one to two-page narrative about your organization’s work. Additional information including instructions on developing the narrative is found on the Web site.
