Build-a-bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation
Category: Animals & Wildlife
DescriptionThe Foundation’s Bearemy’s Kennel Pals grants provide direct support for animals in domestic pet programs including animal welfare organizations, pet rescue and rehabilitation organizations, and therapeutic and humane education pet programs. There are two types of Kennel Pals grants: individual project grants and organization program grants. The individual project grants are generally earmarked for one-time purchases or to fulfill a short-term need. Examples include equipment purchases or spay/neuter events. Organization program grants fund start-up or operational costs for ongoing programs. Examples include spay/neuter programs, humane education initiatives, and service dog training programs. The Kennel Pals grants do not fund capital campaigns, construction or new facility expenses, fund-raising or event sponsorship, political activities, or religious organizations for religious purposes. The Kennel Pals grants are one area of interest for the Foundation. The Foundation also supports literacy and education programs and children’s health and wellness. The deadline is for the Kennel Pals grants. Additional information on the Foundation’s other grants programs can be found on the Web site.
