DescriptionThe Foundation, created by the former CEO of FirstFed America Bancorp, was established to support the local communities of southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The Foundation’s main funding interests are affordable housing, access to health care, education, job development and accessibility to the arts. Small grants, under $2,501, are reviewed throughout the year on a rolling basis. Large grants are reviewed four times a year in April, July, October, and January.
