National Shooting Sports Foundation

DescriptionThe Foundation’s Hunting Heritage Partnership grants are designed to build a strong partnership between the Foundation, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, and state wildlife agencies. Grants are targeted toward state wildlife agencies to create greater hunting opportunities and to put more hunters in the field. Grants support a range of hunter-related programs including increasing hunter access, hunter retention, hunter recruitment, programs that create more opportunities to hunt, and communications programs geared toward recruiting or retaining hunters. The deadline for submitting proposals usually falls in early spring. Priority is given to projects that will be completed by March 1st of the year following the signing of the official grant documentation.
