DescriptionThe Foundation supports churches and local services worldwide. Priority is given to startup projects that are grassroots or plan to become locally managed and sustained. Community grants support projects typically started through the vision, calling, and gifting of individuals who are then supported by their local church. Dynamic projects that show the love of Jesus in word and action are of particular interest. Local church accountability and financial support are viewed as primary indicators of the priority, integrity, and sustainability of a particular project. The Foundation seeks to help launch projects as a minority partner and has a strong interest in the unique challenges faced by the urban church. In some regions of the world, the Foundation only awards grants to local churches; in other regions, it earmarks money for Christian organization that’s receiving funding from local churches for a particular project. All directors and staff of the Foundation are followers of Jesus Christ and affirm the Lausanne Covenant. Online letters of inquiry are requested. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
