Description

Established in 2001, the Foundation’s international Justice Prize honors individuals or organizations that have advanced the cause of justice as delivered through the legal system. The Foundation defines justice as “redressing the arbitrary use of power by an individual or by a group.” The award acknowledges individual efforts and encourages further advancements toward bringing about a fundamentally just world. Recipients are selected by a distinguished panel of international legal experts from nominations received from around the world. Nominations may be submitted by individuals, organizations, or institutions that are active in, or have an appreciation for, the theory and practice of justice. Self-nominations are not accepted. All nomination materials must be submitted in English. A nomination form and additional information is available on the Web site.
